The Intersection of Timekeeping and Bookkeeping

There were two things I was fascinated by as a kid: drums and numbers.  My grandfather had played the drums, and my father played the drums.  It only made sense, then, that as a young child I was drawn to our basement and started to play on my father’s drumkit.  As I began to study music, I was intrigued by the math that’s involved: the whole-steps and half-steps of a melodic scale, and the quarter-, eighth-, and sixteenth-notes (just to name a few) that make up rhythms.  The math of it intrigued me and came naturally to my brain.  Being a timekeeper on the drums has remained an integral part of who I am and continues to bring me joy to this day. However…

…over the years, I’ve realized that my brain’s processing and understanding of numbers doesn’t come as naturally to everyone.  That’s why I’ve also been learning and working in the accounting field as a bookkeeper and Controller for various non-profit organizations and small businesses.  Finally, after sixteen years of learning, I launched out on my own with Timekeeper Financial Solutions in 2022.
